Hi guys! Hope you all had an awesome Mother’s Day weekend. It went by too quickly didn’t it? I just got back from visiting my parents in Chicago and got to experience a little bit of season. I forgot how difficult it is to pack for unpredictable weather. I over packed (obviously) and ended up sweating my way through security wearing 3 jackets.. SO chic. It turns out it’s decently warm even in Chicago now, so it’s officially time to take on your warm-weather wardrobe full force.
The past few weeks I have been a serious repeat outfit offender. I got this jacket at a local boutique called The Shop on Melrose. It sounds like I’m joking when people ask where I got it because the conversation goes something like this..
“Where’d you get that jacket?”
“No, really.. where’d you get it?”
Once you get past the initial confusion, the place is awesome. It has all kinds of cool pieces and some vintage, like my Levi’s jacket. Most of their clothes skew boho and I got most of my outfits for Coachella there. (I wore this outfit with gray booties for the second day of the festival.) I had been looking for an oversized Levi’s vintage denim jacket for a while and I confess I stripped the mannequin for it. (You gotta do what you gotta do!) I’ve worn it non-stop since I got it in February and there is very little it doesn’t go with. I’ve worn it with everything from jeans and sneakers to shorts and sandals. It also is awesome for dressing down your more feminine pieces.
I’m such a sucker for a one and done outfit. Rompers, jumpsuits and dresses are essential parts of my wardrobe. I’m REALLY indecisive so anything that speeds up the getting ready process is amazing. My friends and boyfriend appreciate them, too. ;) This particular tie dye style may be the holy grail of rompers. It’s cute enough to wear out, casual enough to wear over swimsuits for beach days and comfy enough to be pajamas. When it comes to warm-weather dressing, cute and easy is the way to go.
