I started my blog as a hobby in 2015 (OGs may remember it as Human Hanger) while interning at Revolve Clothing, and have been doing it ever since. I am SO grateful to have a place to connect with my internet BFFs, as well as share my personal style, home decor, travel adventures and, of course, fashion + beauty favorites. It was given to me by one of my friends from college. Zilla evolved from Claud Zilla. (Claudzilla like Godzilla) It was originally my drunk alter ego, but the nickname stuck and people call me Zilla to this day.
I go to Liana at Salty Mane Studio in Santa Monica, California. As for a hair tutorial, stay tuned!
I take all of my photos on my iPhone 11 Max Pro. (The secret to getting a good photo is almost entirely good light!) I vlog + take video on a Canon G7x Mark II. Who takes my photos is entirely dependent on the day. Usually it’s either a blogger friend, my boyfriend Nick, or a tripod.
I am a native Texan, born in Bryan TX. My parents are social psychologists + have always had research labs in university towns. We moved quite a few times growing up, but my parents landed at Purdue while I was in middle school, so I’d say my formative years were in either Texas or Indiana.
